Court Of Appeals Upholds Prison Sentence Of Convicted Murder Jordan Buskirk

Last updated on Tuesday, September 9, 2014

(INDIANAPOLIS) - The Indiana Court of Appeals upheld the 81-year prison sentence of convicted murderer Jordan W. Buskirk.

Greene Superior Court Judge Dena Martin sentenced Buskirk in March.

In December, Buskirk pleaded guilty to the murder of 19-year-old Katelyn Wolfe, as well as conspiracy to commit murder, conspiracy to commit rape, and criminal confinement.

Divers discovered the Linton teen's body submerged in a Greene-Sullivan State Forest lake.

Buskirk admitted to putting a rope around Wolfe's neck and tightening it until she lost consciousness. Her killers had smothered and strangled her, then tied a rope around her body, attached a 20-pound weight and threw her into the lake.

His partner in crime, 26-year-old Randal Crosley of Jasonville was sentenced to 81 years for the murder and other charges.
