BNL Student Cited Into Court After Police Find Marijuana Residue

Last updated on Tuesday, September 9, 2014

(BEDFORD) - Lawrence County Police officers were called to the Bedford North Lawrence High School Monday morning after a teacher reported receiving threatening text messages.

While investigating that incident, school security had stopped two students who possibly had tobacco products.

Officers determined that one of those students did have tobacco and also a smoking pipe.

"The residue on that pipe tested positive for marijuana," says Sheriff Sam Craig. "The student was cited into court and the other student was released."

The text messaging incident is still under investigation.
