Bedford Firefighters To Mark Sept. 11 Terrorist Attack

(BEDFORD) - The Bedford Fire Department will host an open house Thursday to honor those fallen during the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

The open house event open to the public will be held at the department's headquarter at 1900 H Street from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Those attending can enjoy free chili, cookies and lemonade.

The event is held to honor the firefighters and rescue workers who lost their lives in the terrorist attacks. 343 firefighters died that day. The number of people killed in the attacks totals 2,996.
