(BEDFORD) - The 48th Bowhunters Jamboree 3D Shoot is this weekend at the White River Bowhunters Club.
Registration is at 8 a.m. Both Saturday and Sunday and cost $15 for adults and $5 for youth, cub and future bowhunters shoot for free.
There will be more than 30 3D targets and $1,000 in door prizes. There will be a free hog roast at 4 p.m. on Saturday and at 11 a.m. on Sunday.There is also free camping.
A coon shoot will begin at dusk on Saturday night and cost $5 to attend.
Other events include a 100 yard cash payback novelty shoot, nightmare money shoot and others.
The White River Bowhunters will acknowledge an overall shooter this year in the following shooting styles:
Top male open-style shooter - The highest score shot by a male from a class that allows a movable sight. Class includes the following: PSR, PMF, PMR, SPM, MSR, MBF, MBO, SMC, MCBH, KNOWN45
Top female open-style shooter -The highest score shot by a female from a class that allows a moveable sight. Class includes the following: PRF, FBO, FSR, KNOWN45
Top male bowhunter-style shooter - The highest score shot by a male from a class using fixed sight pins. Class includes the following: MBR, AHC, HC, HF, MHC, SHC
Top female bowhunter-style shooter -The highest score shot by a female from a class using fixed sight pins. Class includes the following: FBR, FHC
Top youth shooter - The highest score shot by a youth in the following class: YMR 13-14, YMR 15-17, YH, YHF, FY
Top traditional shooter -The highest score shot by an archer using traditional style archery equipment. Includes the following classes:TRD, RU, LB, YTRD, FTRD
Directions to the White River Bowhunters Club - Located between Bedford & Mitchell, In.. 4.7 miles south of Ind 37 and U.S. 50 West junction. Turn west off Ind. 37 at Tieman Tire Co. and go 1.7 miles. The club is on left.
