Shawn Woodbury Newest Firefighter For Hoosier National Forest

(BEDFORD) - Shawn Woodbury is the newest firefighter for the Hoosier National Forest.

Woodbury attended Minnesota State University at Moorhead where he studied fire technology and administration and later attended Lake Superior College.

In 2003, Woodbury was hired by the Bureau of Land Management in California and worked near Yosemite for three years. Then he worked at the Fish and Wildlife Service in Detroit Lakes, Minn. For the past seven years, he has worked for Balcones Canyonlands National Wildlife Refuge in south-central Texas.

Woodbury and his wife Wendy, who is a first-grade teacher in Bloomington, have a 2-year-old son and reside in Monroe County.
