Woman Arrested After Watching Child Get Molested

Last updated on Wednesday, August 6, 2014

(PEKIN) - A Pekin woman told police that she laughed at a girl and made fun of her while the child was being sexually molested.

31-year-old Natasha Cook is facing a charge of aiding child molesting.

According to a probable cause affidavit, the abuse took place several years ago when the girl was just starting school.

After the child confided in her mother about the abuse, the mother called police.

The girl told police she had been sexually assaulted more than 50 times and provide police with a lengthy list of the places and details of the offenses.

Cook was dating Travis Graves and said that she had watched Graves molest the girl.

The girl told police that Cook "was naked" and "was laughing at her and making fun of her" while Travis was molested her.

When police talked to Cook, she told police "feels like she witnessed it, but I just can't remember the details."

Cook told police she had overdosed on heroin and Xanax and that she had lost most of her memory because of her drug addiction.

Cook did take a polygraph, but failed.

Another of Graves' girlfriends told police she would wake in the middle of the night to find Graves in the victim's bed and that Graves would take the child for walks in the woods and when they came back the girl would immediately shower. She also told police the child suffered from urinary tract infections.

Prosecutor Dustin Houchin says charges are pending against Graves, who is currently in prison in connection with a burglary charge.
