(VINCENNES) - A Washington man was arrested by Vincennes police early Tuesday morning after allegedly barricading himself and three others in a Vincennes apartment.

22-year-old Nicholas Christenberry was arrested after Vincennes police had to ram down two doors to get to him.

According to a press release, officers were called to 10 Autumn Ridge, Apt. 113 after a report of a domestic fight. When they arrived, they found Christenberry had barricaded himself, a woman and two young children inside.

Officers used a battering ram to knock down one door. In the meanwhile Christenberry went into a back bedroom, locked the door and hid under a bed. The officers then knocked down a second door to arrest him.

Christenberry was charged with domestic battery, strangulation, three counts of criminal confinement, resisting law enforcement and residential entry.

He is being held at the Knox County Security Center on $50,000 bond.
