(SHELBYVILLE) - The former boyfriend of a missing Shelbyville woman charged in connection with her disappearance may have his first court appearance delayed.
Scott Schuck faces charges of voluntary manslaughter in the case. Police discovered human remains in the backyard of Schuck's home in the 1200 block of Elm Street.
33-year-old Rebecca Cassidy, formerly of Orange County, was last seen in April 2010. She disappeared in the neighborhood where the remains were found.
Schuck says he had nothing to do with Cassidy's disappearance. He was to appear in court Thursday, but his hearing has been delayed until today.
