Police Need Assistance Locating Stolen Semi Tractor-Trailer

(SHOALS) - The Indiana State Police is asking for the public’s help in locating a stolen semi tractor and trailer that was taken over the weekend from the Shoals area.

On Sunday, a blue and steel colored 2007 Townscraft trailer with Indiana registration P156440 was stolen from the lot of Stonebelt Freight Lines, 10530 Freeman Road, in Shoals.

The trailer was loaded with building materials, valued at several thousand dollars, and was covered with a tarp.

Trooper jarrod Lents also met with Schilli Transportation Service, 10239 Red School Road, in Shoals.

Schilli Transportation Service is located across the street from Stonebelt Freight Lines. From there someone stole a white 2006 Kenworth semi tractor had been stolen early Sunday morning from their lot.

Investigators believe that the stolen Kenworth truck was used to steal the trailer loaded with building materials.

Anyone with information regarding the case or possible location of the stolen vehicles or materials is asked to contact the Indiana State Police Jasper Post by dialing 1-812-482-1441. Callers with information can remain anonymous.

Stolen:

- Blue/Steel colored 2007 Townscraft trailer, loaded with building materials covered with a tarp. Indiana Trailer Plate P156440, Trailer number 4971.

- White, 2006 Kenworth semi-trailer, Indiana Truck Plate 1162339, Truck number 9286 on the front bumper, driver's side.
