Mini, Little, Junior Miss Persimmon Queen Contest

(MITCHELL) - Pageant Chairperson Candi Dersch has released information for the 2014 Mini, Little, and Junior Miss Persimmon contest.

Entry forms for the pageants will be available only at The Mitchell Chamber of Commerce Office, 1494 W. Main Street, Mitchell (former Integra Bank building) on Monday, August 11th at 8:30am.

Entry forms cannot be faxed or hand delivered.

A $30 entry fee is required and space is limited to 20 girls in each age group.

Each category is on a first come basis and will fill up within the first few days

All entry forms must be postmarked and mailed to Candi Dersch, P.O. Box 248, Mitchell, IN 47446.

All contestants must be enrolled in a Lawrence County school.

The Mini contest is open to girls in grades K-2. The Little Miss contest is open to grades 3-5. The Junior Miss is open to girls in grades 6-8.

Practices for Mini and Little Miss will be held Saturday, Aug 30st, Sept. 6th and Sept. 13th.

Junior Miss practices will be held Sunday Aug 31st, Sept. 7th and Sept. 14th.

There will be a pizza party/rehearsal on Wednesday, Sept. 17 for all girls.

Judging will take place from 9am-5pm Saturday, Sept. 20st. Crowning will be held on the Main Street Stage on Monday, Sept. 22rd.

Winners and Miss Congeniality, of the three categories will ride in the Persimmon Festival Parade on Saturday, Sept. 27

Contestants will be required to wear dressy (semi-formal) dresses, Casual wear outfits (school clothes), and have royal blue shorts for the program. All clothing must be age appropriate.
