Man Sentenced To 8 Years In Prison For Trafficking With Inmate

(BROWNSTOWN) - A man who pleaded guilty to trafficking with an inmate by hiding methamphetamine in his underwear recently was sentenced to eight years in prison.

Jackson Circuit Judge Richard Poynter ordered 35-year-old Toby Atha of Seymour to spend two of those years with the Indiana Department of Correction and the remaining six on home detention through the Jackson Jennings Community Corrections Department.

Poynter also gave Atha 363 days credit and 363 days credit time for time served since his arrest on the Class C felony charge.
