Man Sentenced For Distributing Marijuana

Last updated on Monday, August 18, 2014

(BROWNSTOWN) - A Brownstown man was sentenced to 30 months in prison after pleading guilty to possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute.

44-year-old Philip Todd Nash received that sentence from Judge Tanya Walton Pratt, who also ordered him to pay a $2,000 fine and spend three years on supervised release.

Nash could spend up to 25.5 months in prison because federal rules require prisoners to spend 85 percent of their sentence in prison before they can be considered for release because of good time behavior and other factors.
