Man Arrested After Selling Hydrocodone To Police Informant

(MITCHELL) - The Lawrence County Drug Task Force arrested 67-year-old Barry Wilson of Mitchell on a warrant for dealing prescription medications.

He was arrested at his home Friday afternoon on two counts of dealing in a Schedule II controlled substance and two counts of maintaining a common nuisance.

According to a probable cause affidavit, a police informant was given marked money and a recording device and police watched and recorded the drug transactions between the informant and Wilson.

On April 23, the informant purchased 10 Hydrocodone pills from Wilson for $75 in the parking lot of Tulip Street Christian Church in Mitchell. A second drug buy was done on April 24, at the same location and the informant purchased five more Hydrocodone pills for $35 from Wilson.

His bond was set at $200,000 surety or $20,005 cash. He remains in jail this morning.
