(BLOOMINGTON) - A Bloomington man was arrested Wednesday after an altercation with his roommate.
Bloomington Police were called to an apartment in the 500 block of South Muller Parkway.
A 17-year-old girl told police that after a verbal fight, 20-year-old Ryan Thomas Shipley pushed her down, dragged her across the floor, put his hands over her mouth and restricted her breathing, took away her cellphone and blocked the door when she tried to leave the apartment.
Shipley was arrested on charges of battery, strangulation, criminal confinement, intimidation and interfering with reporting a crime.
