Loogootee Man Could Be Arrested After Aggressive Driving Incident

(JASPER) - A Loogootee man will likely end up in jail for aggressive driving once he is released from Memorial Hospital.

Jasper police received a call Tuesday at 4 a.m. reporting a driver in a Dodge Caravan, later identified as 75-year-old Tennis A. Tinkle, was driving aggressively and erratically. The caller reported Tinkle had followed him from Loogootee to Jasper.

Police caught up with Tinkle on Newton Street near 28th and stopped him after observing the Dodge Caravan he was driving pass the victim using the turn lane.

Tinkle was arrested for aggressive driving and taken to Memorial Hospital for a psychological evaluation. According to police when Tinkle is released from the hospital, he will be taken to the Dubois County Security Center.

Tinkle was also cited for following too closely, unsafe lane movement, improper use of a horn, and speeding.
