Brownstown Boy Injured After Riding His Bike Into The Path Of Truck

(EWING) - A 10-year-old boy was taken to an Indianapolis hospital Thursday afternoon after he reportedly rode his bike into oncoming traffic in Brownstown and was struck by a motorist.

According to a new release, 58-year-old Danny Wessle of Browntswocn was at Front and Spring Streets driving a Ford F-150 pickup truck when William Fields of Brownstown rode his bicycle into the path of the truck.

Police say that Fields, who was not wearing a helmet, sustained a broken collarbone, bruising of one of his lungs and a possible collapsed lung.
