Bloomfield Fill The Pool Committee Hosting 5K Super Hero Fun Run

(BLOOMFIELD) - The Bloomfield Fill the Pool Committee is hosting a 5K Super Hero Fun Run in hopes to raise money to open a new long-lasting community pool in Bloomfield.

The Greene County Daily World reports, the committee will be hosting a variety of fundraisers to reach their goal of $800,000.

They are currently seeking sponsors for their Super Hero Fun Run.

Sponsors are required to donate a minimum of $100 to the event and they will receive their name on the back of the Super Hero Run T-shirts that will be given out to all of those who register for the event by August 25.

Committee Member, Becky Pierce says participants can dress up as your favorite super hero or villain. The event is geared for families, kids, and serious runners.

The Super Hero Run will kick off in Bloomfield on Saturday, September 13 at 10 a.m.

The event will be followed by another Fill the Pool fundraiser called Have a Bite in Bloomfield from 3 - 8 p.m.
