(BEDFORD) - Officers with the Lawrence County Drug Task Force arrested two Bedford men on warrants this weekend after informants conducted controlled drug buys.
Police arrested 31-year-old Brice Templeton and 36-year-old Daniel Anderson on two charges of dealing meth and two counts of possession of meth.
Templeton is also facing a charge of maintaining a common nuisance.
According to a probable cause affidavit, officers from the Lawrence County Police Department participated in two controlled drug purchases involving Templeton and an informant.
On June 10, an informant purchased meth from Templeton in the parking lot of Pappa's restaurant on Washington Avenue. Then on June 16, a second buy was made by an informant at an apartment in Hamilton Courts.
In each buy, the informant was given marked money and a recording device and police watched and recorded the drug transactions.
In May, the Task Force received information that Daniel Anderson was selling meth.
An informant purchase meet with Anderson near the creek at Otis Park and purchased a baggie of crystal meth. Then on June 17, Anderson contacted the informant wanting to sell them more meth. The informant met Anderson at Jiffy Treat and purchased two more baggies of meth.
Bond men are being held on a $200,000 surety or $20,005 cash bond and are both were still being held at the Lawrence County Jail this morning.
