(HURON) - A man was arrested early this morning after he fired seven shots at a home in the 900 block of Old Vincennes Road.

Lawrence County Police arrested 26-year-old Robert Hollingsworth on charges of criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon and residential entry.

According to Sheriff Sam Craig, Hollingsworth was at another residents earlier and had gotten into a verbal dispute with a man and woman.

Hollingsworth then allegedly left that home and went to the home of the person he had been arguing, which was on Old Vincennes Road, and fired seven shot from a .22-caliber rifle into the home. Craig says, one shot entered the home and lodged into a couch.

The person Hollingsworth had been fighting with was not at the home at the time of the shooting.

"After he fired the shots, he then fled," Craig added.

Officers found Hollingsworth just down the road at his home at 1113 Old Vincennes Road, where he was arrested without incident.
