U.S. 50 To Close In Bedford On Monday To Replace Drainage Structure

(BEDFORD) - The Indiana Department of Transportation announces that U.S 50 southwest of Bedford will be closing on Monday, July 28th.

Contractor's crews will be closing U. S. 50 from the junction of Cassidy Lane to Mahan Road.

Crews will be replacing a drainage structure under the roadway.

Work will begin on or after Monday July 28th, at approximately 7 a.m. It is anticipated the roadway will re-open to traffic by 3 p.m. on Wednesday, July 30th, weather permitting.

No through vehicle traffic will be allowed, however local residents will have access to the point of closure. All lanes of traffic will be closed at the structure. The official detour will follow S.R. 37 South to S.R. 60 West.

INDOT reminds motorists to follow the posted work zone speed limit, use caution and consider worker safety when traveling through a work zone.
