(ODON) - The Indiana/Kentucky Chapter of the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) will present its July Lunch-and-Learn event, featuring Radius Indiana CEO, Becky Skillman at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 23rd.
The event is open to the public and will take place at the state-of-the-art WestGate Academy Conferencing and Training Center, in Odon.
"As the largest employer within the 8-county Radius Indiana region, employing over 5,500 government and contract employees, NSA Crane's annual business base of $1.5 billion annually pours more than $2 million a day into the Indiana economy," said Becky Skillman, President/CEO of Radius Indiana. "While the Department of Defense has one of the greatest research budgets within government, we are just beginning to realize the potential for commercialization of Crane's vast patent portfolio of technology, a process known as tech transfer. With NDIA's pivotal role connecting industry and government partners together, along with assets such as WestGate@Crane and I-69, we are perfectly positioned for Indiana to establish itself as a defense-industry powerhouse."
With chapters and units across the country, NDIA is the nation's leading Defense Industry association. Membership is open to all who are interested in taking an active role in national security and engaging in the tremendous networking opportunities afforded by events like the July 23rd Lunch-and-Learn.

We want to share the news of the opportunities and the extraordinary work being done in the defense and national security sectors in Indiana.
