Seymour Officer Hurt During Foot Pursuit

(SEYMOUR) - Seymour police chase on foot involving a 16-year-old boy on the west side of the city Monday morning left an officer injured.

Officer Chris McCoy was taken to the emergency room at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour for a fracture after he tripped and fell while running in the area of the Jay C Food Store parking lot in the 1500 block of West Tipton Street.

Chief of Police Chief Bill Abbott says McCoy, a 15 year veteran, was treated and released.
