(ORLEANS) - Saturday nights are heating up in downtown Orleans as The Orleans Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Touchstone Energy/ Orange County REMC presents another exciting summer of Concerts in the Park.
The popular event continues Saturday, in historic Congress Square (town square park) with a performance by the Louisville, KY based River Cities Concert Band.
River Cities is a traditional concert band consisting of woodwinds, brass and percussion. Concert attendees will hear a wide variety of music styles, from marches, to jazz, to Broadway, and beyond. The group promises the musical ride of your life. Concerts are presented by the band year-round at various locations in Louisville and Southern Indiana.
The free concert will begin at 7 p.m. (local time) in the southwest corner area of Congress Square.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their lawn chairs or blankets, as seating in the park is limited.
*Special Note: In the event of inclement weather, concerts may be slightly delayed, cancelled or moved indoors to the nearby Orleans Christian Church, Unity Hall.
