Officer after speaking with Wagler then went to a home of 55-year-old Joseph Weddle on Hornettown Road in northern Brown County.

While at the home officers discovered meth and drug paraphernalia and arrested Weddle.

Weddle admitted to firing one shot from a .22-caliber rifle after being confronted by Wagler in Weddle's front yard.

The shooting remains under investigation and the Brown County Prosecutor Jim Oliver will determine what if any shooting related charges will be filed against Weddle.

Weddle at the time of this arrest, was out on bond in three unrelated criminal cases pending in Brown Circuit Court. In those cases, Weddle is facing 11 felony charges and Prosecutor Oliver has asked the court to hold Weddle without bond pending completion of the shooting investigation.
