(UNDATED) - There are several new gravel pull-off areas on State Road 60 East, in both Washington and Clark counties.
The areas were installed to better facilitate law enforcement's monitoring of traffic along the heavily-traveled highway.
The pull-offs were developed after concerns of county officials regarding the safety of State Road 60 East and the number of serious injury and fatalities on the road over the years.
State Road 60 East is the primary artery for locate traffic traveling south toward Clarksville and Louisville where many residents are employed.
