(BEDFORD) - A Columbus man was injured after a two-vehicle crash on U.S. 50 East at Limestone Run Road Tuesday afternoon.
According to a Bedford Police report, 50-year-old Peter Jensen of Columbus, was traveling east on U.S. 50 East when material he had in the front seat began to shift and he diverted his attention away from the road to stabilize the material.
When he looked back to the road a 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe driven by 41-year-old Anthony Scarpellini was stopping to turn left onto Limestone Run Road.
Jensen's 2014 Ford Escape was too close. He attempted to swerve to avoid a collision but struck the rear of Scarpellini's vehicle.
Jensen complained of chest pain. Scarpellini was not injured.
