Last updated on Tuesday, July 8, 2014

(BEDFORD) - The Lawrence County Community Foundation Board of Directors awarded grants to fourteen local agencies who submitted proposals for the 2014 Open Grant Cycle.

Funding for the annual grant application process was provided by the following endowment funds:

Robison Fund, Smithville Charitable Foundation, Eugene & Marilyn Glick Foundation Fund, and the Freeda & Opal Casada Fund.

"The 2014 grants applications were once again an example of what is great about this area," said Craig Jones who chaired the LCCF Grants Committee this year. "Several unmet needs have been identified and willing organizations are providing the necessary resources to meet the need. The Community Foundation and its committee has the privilege of providing financial support to address the need.
