IU Woman's Basketball Coach Leaving For Personal Health And Family Reasons

Last updated on Tuesday, July 29, 2014

(BLOOMINGTON) - Indiana University’s head women’s basketball coach Curt Miller is resigning after just two years leading the team for what he says are “personal health and family reasons.”

IU Athletic Director Fred Glass accepted Miller's resignation, which is effective immediately, although the coach will take until the end of the month to fully transition out of the university.

Miller came to IU two years ago after coaching at Bowling Green University to coach the struggling team. During his first year, the team improved their 2011-12 record of 6-24, to 11-19 and had a winning season in 2013-14 at 21-13.

Associate head coach Curtis Loyd will serve as interim head coach, while Glass searches for Miller's replacement.
