(BROWNSTOWN) - Haley Hackman smiled and the crowd cheered when the sparkling crown was placed upon her head Sunday evening at the Jackson County 4-H Fair Grandstand in Brownstown.
The 20-year-old was named this year's Jackson County Fair queen.
"When my name was called, I felt like it was a dream come true," she said, wearing a red robe over her shoulders and a white sash across her chest. "I've dreamed of being a Jackson County fair queen my entire life. I was ecstatic, as I still am."
