Greene County Man Facing More Charges After Police Find Drugs

(BLOOMFIELD) - 39-year-old Steven Strange of Bloomfield was arrested on June 11 on two felony counts of forgery, and two felony counts of theft, and is incarcerated in the Greene County Jail. But he now is facing new drug-related charges.

According to Greene County Detective James O'Malley, a man had loaned Strange his vehicle and when he returned the vehicle officers were waiting on Strange, who had several warrants for his arrest.

During that arrest, officers located drug paraphernalia and marijuana in Strange's pockets.

Strange then admitted he also had items stored in the garage. There officers found items used in the making of meth.

Strange is now faces preliminary charges of possession of marijuana and possession of marijuana with a prior conviction, possession of two or more chemical precursors with the intent to manufacture a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He is also wanted in Floyd County on a warrant for operating a vehicle while intoxicated with a prior conviction and operating a vehicle with a blood-alcohol content of .08 or more.
