Greene Co. FOP Accepting Applications For Cops And Kids Back-To-School Shopping

Last updated on Friday, July 25, 2014

(GREENE CO.) - The Greene County Fraternal Order of Police is accepting Application for Cops and Kids Back-to-School Shopping.

The deadline to apply is August 6.

FOP members know that back-to-school time is expensive for area families, and help out by collecting money to take children from across the county to the Linton Walmart to purchase new clothes for the coming school year.

Parents may use this application to request funds for kids in grades one through eight.

After the application deadline, a committee will review them and notify the selected participants by phone.

FOP President Paul Clark stressed that it is very important to make sure the committee has a phone number they can reach you at easily.

"If we can't reach them in a timely manner, then we want to pass that benefit on to somebody that we can get ahold of," he explained.

Clark added that the number of children they can help depends on the donations they receive. The success of our program is based on the community's involvement and donations.

Applications may be picked up and dropped off at any police agency in Greene County.

If you would like to donate to Cops and Kids, you may call the FOP at 812-847-2929 or drop off a donation at any police agency in Greene County.
