(BEDFORD) - Firefighters from the Bedford Fire Department were called to a tree on fire in the 1700 block of J Street at 7:20 p.m. Wednesday night.
"We are not sure how the large old dead tree caught on fire," says Chief Jon Wagner. "They used a portable water extinguisher to douse the blaze."
Firefighters thought they had the fire extinguish, but it rekindled Thursday morning.
"They put a lot more water on the tree this morning and hopefully that took care of it," Wagner added.
