(BLOOMINGTON) - Bloomington Police were called to a home in the 500 block of West Davis Street Thursday night after a woman was found lying on the sidewalk.
Officers woke 41-year-old Michelle Collins and told her she had to leave. Collins, who was intoxicated, became hostile and took off one of her sandals and threw it at officers.
She was warned about her behavior but then took off her other sandal and threw it at police hitting one of the officers in the shin.
Collins was arrested on preliminary charges of battery and public intoxication.
