(WASHINGTON) - 26-year-old Chaz Lengacher of Washington turned himself in Saturday after he ran from the scene of a meth bust.
According to Washington Police Chief Mike Healy, last Tuesday, Lengacher and five others were at an apartment in the 500 block of North Meridian when officers went to the apartment after a call about a strong chemical odor in the area. When police arrived they found the apartment filled with smoke and an odor associated with the making of meth.
21-year-old Patience Coss lived in the apartment with Legacher and others and they were all arrested and on multiple charges related to manufacturing meth. In addition to Coss and Legacher, the group included 25-year-old Jesse Arnold, 25-year-old Marcus Wagler and 19-year-old Haley Burress, all of Washington as well as 29-year-old Nicole Young of Odon.
Lengacher was charged with possession of meth over three grams, possession or sale of precursors, conspiracy to manufacture and manufacturing meth, manufacturing, criminal recklessness and maintaining a common nuisance. He is currently being held without bond.
Coss, Wagler, Arnold and Young had partial initial hearings Monday. Judge Dean Sobecki set bond at $50,000 each for Coss and Young and $100,000 for Wagler and Arnold.
