Crash Blamed On Tire Falling Off Vehicle

Last updated on Wednesday, June 25, 2014

(GREENE CO.) - A tire that came off a moving vehicle was blamed for the cause of a one-vehicle crash that injured one person over the weekend.

The Green County Daily World reports that Greene County Deputy Jeffrey Brown was called to the scene at 6 a.m. Saturday morning on North Crowe Road in eastern Greene County.

50-year-old Tamara Hollers of Bloomfield was driving a 1995 Chevrolet 1500 pickup truck northbound on Crowe Road when the left front tire fell off while the truck was in motion, causing her to run off the roadway.

The truck crashed into a tree head-on then rolled over at least one time. The tire was located approximately a quarter mile north of the crash scene.

The Hollars complained of pain to her head, but refused medical treatment.

Brown says she was not wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash.

Personnel from the Center Township Fire Department and the Greene County Ambulance Service also responded to the scene.
