(BLOOMFIELD) - Coincidentally on the one-year anniversary of the day Katelyn Wolfe was murdered and reported missing, Tamera Crosley appeared before Judge Dena Martin in Greene Superior Court and admitted guilt in two criminal cases, one involving obstruction of justice during the murder investigation, the other involving conspiracy to commit a theft from the Linton Walmart store.
She is accused of stealing items and then having her younger brother attempt to return the items for cash, that she was then going to place on her husband's account at the jail.
In the second case, in the days following Wolfe's murder, Tamera Crosley was questioned more than once, but police say she gave completely different statements in interviews before and after Wolfe's body was discovered.
Crosley's husband, Randal Crosley, and Jordan Buskirk have since been convicted of Wolfe's murder and are now serving time in prison.
During Tamera Crosley's hearing on Friday morning, she was sentenced to six months in the Greene County Jail on each of two counts, to be served one after the other for a total of one year. But jail time was suspended except for six days in each count.
19-year-old Crosley will report to the jail today to serve her remaining six days. After she completes her jail time, she'll be on probation for two years.
Crosley's sentence also included court costs, fees and fines which will be paid out of a total of $900 in cash bond money that was posted when she was released from jail.
The negotiated plea agreement included a requirement for Crosley to meet with police prior to sentencing to provide a truthful account of her involvement in the recovery efforts of Katelyn Wolfe, and to take a polygraph examination to verify her truthfulness if requested.
During Friday's hearing, Greene County Deputy Public Defender David Hunter, representing Crosley, said the defendant had not been contacted by law enforcement.
Greene County's Chief Deputy Prosecutor Cheryl Jackson Stone told the court the prosecution was requesting the requirement become a condition of Crosley's probation.
So although Crosley had not yet met that requirement before sentencing, she may still have to comply at any time during her two-year term of probation, and the judge clearly warned Crosley that if she failed to meet the terms and conditions of probation, she could be ordered to spend one year in jail.
While Jordan Buskirk of Jasonville was failing a lie detector test regarding the disappearance of 19-year-old Katelyn Wolfe, divers discovered the Linton teen's body submerged in a Greene-Sullivan State Forest lake.
Buskirk admitted to putting a rope around Wolfe's neck and tightening it until she lost consciousness.
Her killers had smothered and strangled her, tied a rope around her body, attached a 20-pound weight and thrown her into the lake.
Buskirk plead guilty to charges of murder, criminal confinement and counts of conspiracy to commit murder and rape. His partner in crime, 26-year-old Randal Crosley of Jasonville also plead guilty to the crimes and both were sentenced to 81 years for the murder and other charges.
