Last updated on Monday, June 9, 2014

(SALEM) - Six people were injured - none of them seriously - in a pickup truck crash on Dog Trot Road Wednesday night.

The crash in the 1400 block of Dog Trot Road in Salem was reported by a passerby around 8 p.m.

According to an Indiana State Police report, 22-year-old Joshua Thompson of Orleans, who was driving the Ford F150 pickup, for an unknown reason left the roadway, traveled about 300 feet, crashed through a fence and finally hit a tree. Police say none of the occupants were wearing seat belts. The impact caused the truck to flip on the passenger side.

The crash trapped the front seat occupants, Thompson, Helen Serianni, the truck's owner, and Tammy Sease. They were freed by the Salem Fire Rescue Squad. In the backseat were 11-year-old Haley Sease, Donna and Roy McIntyre.

The Seases and Thompson were transported by air ambulance to University of Louisville Hospital. Baker said Wednesday night all three had been released.

The others were transported by ambulance to St. Vincent Salem Hospital.

The crash remains under investigation.
