Assistant Chief Craig Hayes says officers began their investigation after Mike Davis, of California was arrested in Edinburgh on June 3. During that arrest, made by federal Drug Enforcement Agency officers, police found 5.9 pounds of meth with a street value of between $36,300 to $45,400. Police say Davis had traveled Jackson County to deliver the drug.

On Wednesday, police secured search warrants for the homes and emergency response teams from Seymour, Columbus and the Jackson County Sheriff's Department executed those warrants at the same time.

Police found guns and drugs at the locations and a large amount of cash was found at Brown's home in Medora. Brown is also the owner of the business at Freeman Field, that was searched Thursday. Police also seized a motorcycle and cars.

All six suspects are being held at the Jackson County Jail pending their initial court appearances. Hayes says additional arrests are possible as the investigation continues.
