Nationwide Gas Prices Are Higher

Last updated on Sunday, June 29, 2014

Nationwide gas prices are higher than last year and experts are predicting higher prices for the upcoming Holiday weekend.

One expert says gas prices next weekend are going to be the highest since 2008.

The national average for gas peaked in May just under $4.00 a gallon.

It's dropped since then to the current average around $3.70 a gallon according to GasBuddy.com but that's still 23 cents more expensive than it was on the Fourth of July last year.

Triple-A says there will be as many as 41-million Americans on the roads next week for the Holiday.
