Nationwide gas prices are higher than last year and experts are predicting higher prices for the upcoming Holiday weekend.

The national average for gas peaked in May just under $4.00 a gallon.

It's dropped since then to the current average around $3.70 a gallon according to but that's still 23 cents more expensive than it was on the Fourth of July last year.

Triple-A says there will be as many as 41-million Americans on the roads next week for the Holiday.
