Man Faces New Charges After Attempting To Smuggle Drugs Into Jail

(BEDFORD) - A Bedford man who was entering the jail to serve a court commitment is now facing new charges after he attempted to smuggle several pills into the Lawrence County Jail.

According to Sheriff Sam Craig, 34-year-old Luke Baer was being booking into the jail to service a court commitment when officers found the pills.

Baer is now facing charges of possession of a legend drug in a penal facility and trafficking.
