(BEDFORD) - An Indianapolis man was arrested after he attempted to purchase items at Tractor Supply Friday afternoon with a fraudulent credit card.
According to Chief Parsley, officers received a call from store employees saying they were notified by the credit card company that the credit card just used was fraudulent.
Police found two men in the parking lot waiting for store employees to load the items they had purchased.
"Officers approached the men, who one gave a fake driver's license," says Parsley. "The officer realized the license was fake because it did not have the holigraph features that are required."
50-year-old Paul Hines, not only had the fake driver's license but several credit cards that had fraudulent names on them.
Officers were finally able to identify Hines and he was arrested on charges of theft, fraud, synthetic ID deception (which means he was using a fake name on the credit cards and license) and obstruction of justice.
