(BEDFORD) - A Bedford man was injured after he told police he fell asleep and crashed his car vehicle into a retaining wall on U.S. 50 East Tuesday night.
According to a Bedford Police report, 23-year-old Rick Laws was traveling west on U.S. 50 East near C Street when he told police he must of fell asleep and his 1997 Isuzu crossed the center line, almost hit another vehicle head-on, glanced off a retaining wall and then went up and over a sidewalk and struck a retaining wall on the south side of the road.
Laws told police all her remembered was he was traveling west on U.S. 50 and headed home and when he woke he had crashed.
Laws complained of knee and leg pain and was treated at the scene by a Seals ambulance crew. He did not go to the hospital.
