(BLOOMINGTON) - Bloomington’s Board of Public Works approved a $48,674.40 contract with American Structurepoint for inspection services of Park Avenue from Seventh to Eighth streets, where the city intends to restore the street’s brick lining.
The money is in addition to the $338,465 construction cost. Board president Charlotte Zietlow questioned the high cost of the inspection, but public works director Susie Johnson said it's necessary for the project or the city would forfeit state funding.
