(WASHINGTON) - The family of Marguerite Johnson and a sizable group of friends and co-workers of the Daviess County courthouse gathered on Friday to dedicate a beautiful granite bench in her memory.
Yvonne Evans, a longtime friend of Johnson's, conducted the service and read a poem in her memory. Johnson was a loyal and devoted employee of the courthouse for 15 years, retiring at the age of 92.
Johnson, who always had a smile for everyone, loved her job and never missed a day of work. She was loved and respected by all who worked at the courthouse as well as countless others within the community.
