Last updated on Tuesday, June 17, 2014

(BEDFORD) - A Bedford man was arrested after he allegedly stole an aluminum ladder and scraps from a home on Church Camp Road Friday.

After loading the items into his truck the vehicle would not start. Officers located 25-year-old Nathan Daggy, of 12532 Tunnelton Rd., walking on Church Camp Road.

Officers searched Daggy and found a syringe and needle in his pocket.

The property owner was able to identify Daggy as the man taking his aluminum and attempting to start the truck.

Before having Daggy's vehicle towed, police inventoried the contents and found a cooking spoon that tested positive for meth residue.

Daggy was arrested on charges of theft, possession of drug paraphernalia and meth and driving while his driver's license was suspended.
