(BEDFORD) - Three people were injured in a head-on collision on U.S. 50 East near Limestone Run Road Saturday night.

According to a Lawrence County Police report, 23-year-old Brandon Wells, of 2038 13th St., was traveling west on U.S. 50 East and was attempting to pass a vehicle in front of him when he moved into the opposite lane and meet a 2004 Ford driven by 26-year-old Kelly Rascoe, of Brownstown.

Wells swerved his 1991 Chevrolet to avoid the collision, but so did Rascoe and the two vehicles collided head-on.

Wells suffered minor bleeding to his knee and lower left leg.

Rascoe suffered minor bleeding to her knee and lower left leg. Her passenger 6-year-old Conner Rascoe, suffered fractures and dislocated his knee and lower left leg.

Although toxicology reports are pending for both drivers, the report states Wells "had been drinking" and that he also passed on a double yellow line.
