(BLOOMINGTON) - About 100 more people in Monroe County will begin this month receiving food they need thanks to the Hoosier Hills Food Bank.
The organization will distribute the monthly boxes of food staples through the Commodity Supplemental Food Program, a federal program that's administered through the Indiana State Department of Health.
It targets low-income citizens 60 or older, a population at risk for not eating well and developing health problems as a result.
