(PATOKA) - Everyone is invited to come out to the Patoka Lake Visitor Center on Saturday, May 10th from 11a.m. to 3p.m. for a Welcome Ceremony & Open House to meet their new ambassador Bald Eagle for educational programming.
Refreshments and light snacks will be served.
A kid's craft station will be set up inside the Visitor Center where many eagle themed crafts can be made to take home.
The schedule will be as follows:
* 11a.m. - 3p.m. Bald Eagle and Eastern Screech Owl in backyard viewing shelters
* 11:30a.m. Prey /Predator game for the kids on the south lawn
* Noon - 2:30p.m. Refreshments indoors at the Visitor Center
* 12:30p.m. - Picture Yourself with the Eagle~ Get your picture taken with the eagle and her handlers. Donations will be gladly accepted for all photo opportunities and will go towards the care and well being of this young bald eagle.
* 1p.m. Prey /Predator game for the kids on the south lawn
* 1:30 p.m. A Long Way From Home ~ Short presentation of her journey from Alaska to Patoka
* 2 p.m. Cake Cutting ~ Enjoy an eagle themed cake or cupcakes
* 2:30p.m. Picture Yourself with the Eagle~ Get your picture taken with the eagle and her
handlers.
Donations will be gladly accepted for all photo opportunities and will go towards the care and well being of this young bald eagle

The entrance fee of $5 per vehicle for Indiana residents ($7 out of state) is required for the Newton Stewart State Recreation Area, Patoka Reservoir, located north of Wickliffe Indiana, Highway 164.
