(MITCHELL) - Virgil I. Grissom Inc., the governing board of the Virgil I. Grissom Boyhood home will have Grissom's boyhood home open for the public on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The board recently reorganized and plans to have the house open on Saturdays throughout the summer. The board hopes to take the home back to the era when Grissom was growing up. If anyone has items that relate to Grissom's boyhood or the home during the 1930s or early 1940s, contact board president Steve Grissom at stevenpgrissom@gmail.com.

Send donations for maintaining the home to Virgil I. Grissom Inc., 407 S. Sixth St., Mitchell.
